My PlantCo is the Australian food innovator reinventing how the world eats. Building trusted, scalable food solutions that nourish people, strengthen communities and protect the planet.

We work in partnership with farmers, researchers, scientists, universities, government and industry to transform Australian produce into nutritious, future ready foods. By adding value close to source and reducing waste, we’re not only creating delicious food options but importantly, we’re creating food systems where people, partners and the planet all benefit.

Our Story

From Family Food to Food Innovation

Food has always been at the heart of My PlantCo. Our story begins with a family deeply connected to food and the land  across Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. From early bakery operations to Perth’s first plant‑based supermarket and restaurants in the 1990s.

 

We work in partnership with farmers, researchers, scientists, universities, government and industry to transform Australian produce into nutritious, future ready foods. By adding value close to source and reducing waste, we’re not only creating delicious food options but importantly, we’re creating food systems where people, partners and the planet benefit.

Food wasn’t just something we made; it was how we brought people together, supported communities and expressed care for the planet.

 

That lived experience shaped a clear belief: food can do more.

 

It can nourish busy lives, support local producers, reduce waste and help solve some of the biggest challenges facing our world.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Founder of My PlantCo, Mei brings over 20 years of experience across the food, beverage and FMCG sectors, underpinned by a family legacy in food manufacturing and operations spanning Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. Passionate about unlocking greater value from Australian agriculture, she leads My PlantCo’s mission to transform underutilised crops into scalable, value-added food innovations that deliver commercial success while creating positive outcomes for people, growers and the planet.

Jerame Lorejo

Group Chief Financial Officer

Jerame brings more than 25 years of finance and commercial leadership experience across Australia’s FMCG and food manufacturing sectors, including senior roles with Brownes Dairy, Mrs Mac’s, San Miguel Corporation and D’Orsogna Limited. He provides the financial stewardship and commercial discipline that underpin My PlantCo’s growth strategy, drawing on deep expertise in financial strategy, capital planning, business modelling and operational optimisation to build scalable businesses and create long-term value for investors and stakeholders.

Grains Innovation Specialist

Dr Prakhar Chatur is a PhD qualified food scientist specialising in food innovation, research and commercialisation. Drawing on experience with Curtin University, the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC), Intergrain and My PlantCo, he bridges cutting edge science with commercial product development. He currently leads My PlantCo’s collaborative innovation program with leading research partners, helping transform Australian grown ingredients into scalable, value added food solutions that are scientifically robust, commercially viable and sustainably produced.
